Light nineties dance indie is doing better than ever. If you have any doubts, check out Helsinki duo Shine 2009. They combine the spirit of Gothenburg’s balearic pop bands like The Embassy and Air France with the wild years of Ibiza and the Madchester mania. Their recipe mixes vocalist SAMI SUOVA’s laid-back and drowsy vocals with crisp dance pop beats and fun, slogan-packed lyrics – and works like a charm on this four-song ep.
